Randalls | North American Breakfast in BA | The Lost Asian

It is exciting to hear about Randalls: a place solely dedicated to North American breakfast, burgers, and all things fatty and delicious. I started full of excitement and anticipation; the meal itself wasn’t bad at all, but alas at the end there were a few elements that didn’t roundup to be a great memorable meal and I wonder if I came at the wrong time or this place needs more time to mature. In any event, it doesn’t hurt to have a North American breakfast option in this city.

Diner Critic: The yellow painted decor invites brightness and warmness, though after sitting for a bit the place gives away this too-big sterile feeling. With their concept I was seeing more of an intimate space with comfy booths to relax in. Though apart from that, their service was superb and their outdoor area holds much potential.

Breakfast Critic: The waffles were excellent though the brown sugar watery substitute for syrup could be substituted for something more syrup-like, maybe a honey based syrup? The sausage gravy biscuit with my poached egg was delicious and I enjoyed the slightly crispy hash browns. The big disappointment was the chocolate milkshake that came out more of a chocolate milk than creamy, thick, brain-freezing shake; we sent it back and they comped us with coffee. A diner menu with disappointing milkshakes!? Big Sigh. The prices were affordable: 40 pesos ($10) for an abundant portion of delicious breakfast options.
