This place was highly recommended by two young men from San Francisco. As I listen with laughs and pleasure about their dining experience in BA, I knew this place is a must-go. All thanks to their wonderful mom, Antonia James (we connected via Food52), they were immersed as young children into this insatiable addiction with home cooked meals, fine dining, and food traveling; they are humble foodies, able to get down and dirty for good food, while at the same time appreciating elements of fine dining without riding the wave of the latest food fad- and without their recommendation, I would of never imagine finding this gem. Thank you guys.

Restaurant Critic

The small restaurant, hidden in a corner, is masked by noisy popular restaurants that scatter along the same street. In addition, the windows are covered, save a peek of light from the door that only opens when being knocked. One can only go hope that it can only get better-and it did; walking into a well-lit room, and quickly greeted by a knowledgable friendly waiter melted all negativity away. The space is small, intimate, bottles of wine line up the wall and at most 6 tables available.

Food Critic

Can’t eat gluten? No need to finish reading this post.:)Their menu is dedicated to pasta, pasta and more pasta, all ranging around 35-40 pesos ($9). Though pasta may seem a shrug-off for fine diners, their pastas are wow-delicious. The portions are generous; the pasta is cooked perfectly and the quality of ingredients can be tasted in their sauces. Not only did I enjoyed my funghi (mushrooms) pastas, but by the end I was scooping pastas out of everyone’s plates: spicy mama mia, seafood shrimp pasta and cream panceta. Their homemade burrata is a must order, which has now become one of my favorite cheeses. Normally, not a real fan of tiramisu, but this time my hands couldn’t stop reaching for the light, creamy liquor soaked dessert. If you love pasta, this is a must-go in Buenos Aires. No frits, no candles, just a hearty good satisfying meal. Great with a few good friends and couples.

Pros

  • well-informed, great service
  • the homely atmosphere located at a well-missed corner
  • burrata
  • pastas
  • tiramisu
  • yes, pretty much everything
Cons
  • nothing really

Looks like good food and I do love a good pasta. Will have to see if they make sauces better than me:)
